Interesting.

I think that..........

Can a good game be made in NaaLaa?
No doubt!

Can a good and complete game be made in NaaLaa by one person within 1 month?
If the person only programs the game in part-time, it is difficult to succeed!

Is there any forum member who is able to make a superior game to win the above jam?
Not too easy! The user community of this forum is too small.

Is it worthwhile to participate in the jam?
I think so! It is still a harmless activity and an entrant may improve the game development skill in this type of contest.

Ok. Questions one at a time....

1. Can a good game be made in NaaLaa?
Absolutely. I agree with you 100%.

2. Can a good and complete game be made in NaaLaa by one person within 1 month?
Possibly. As you mentioned, available time, is the main key. Remember, a team, can also submit an entry.

3. Is there any forum member who is able to make a superior game to win the above jam?
I cannot speak for the other Forum members, but as for me, I struggle to put together a normal game... 'superior' is beyond my current skill levels.. lol...

4. Is it worthwhile to participate in the jam?
Absolutely! What better way is there to be challenged to improve and to promote the game engine of choice.

Can Naalaa7 do the job? It is still in "beta" development, but with the right programmer and assets and a creative imagination, yes. I think it can. But, keep in mind, that Naalaa6, is a complete suite of tools that can also be used...

Participating in Jams, like this one, is an excellent way of displaying N6/N7's capabilities. Also, producing more examples, tutorials etc, will go a long way in encouraging new members to learn. It is not only important to "show" people what Naalaa can do, but to educate and equip new members, so that "they" can show others what Naalaa can do.

Well, I am going to continue looking into the Tilemap editor, before I destroy more critters in Doom... Moo Ha Ha...

Other members may not be interested in any contest.  Cool

Some forum members may be afraid of losing. Meanwhile, some members don't want to face tough obstacles in the contest.

Several forum members look talented! They are so skilful in using NaaLaa.

Let us hope that one or two NaaLaa users will submit entry(or entries) to the contest. I will appreciate the entry(or entries).

For me it's all about time. I've been super busy the last couple of weeks (therefor I've barely written anything in the forum). My vacation starts three weeks, but then I'll probably be even more busy Smile

I look forward to your entry. Other people of this forum should also look forward to your entry. From my point of view, your entry may make other forum members try to participate in other jams in the future.

The jam is in progress and there are 21 entrants.

Is anyone of you one of these 21 entrants? Shy
