There were some arkanoid/breakout games posted on the old forum. Here's a new clone using the tilemap library and the assets found here:

The game is just as basic as the assets, and hopefully it's not hard to figure out what's going on.

You can change abs to abs# and it should work. But I'll fix and update the compiler.

    Yes, n6 1.0.1 , downloaded today.

Alright, I'll fix that, thanks for reporting   My Windows PC is half dead, so I couldn't test stuff as much as I wanted.

What happens if you try to compile this code line:

foo# = rnd(100.0)

Does he complain about # in that case too?

Oh... I take it back! Devious game! Troddling along, with some ease, for a few levels. (Insidious method of luring into a false sense of security) BOOM! The ball speeds up... BOOM! Without warning the "bat" shrinks... Before I knew it, all my lives are gone, and I'm staring at a 'Game Over'... Well made, Author. Well made. As we say here in Australia, "May your chooks turn into emus and kick your dunny door in.". (homework is to interpret...) LOL

  Still needs enemies and powerups, but it may be a starting point for anyone wanting to write a breakout style game.

You can now download version 1.0.2, which has a draw ellipse command, and the # thing has been fixed  

It actually took me a while to implement a good and fast ellipse rasterizer (for filled ellipses that works with transparency, just like all naalaa's drawing commands) based on Bresenham's integer algorithm.
