Easy customization of game's icon?
« on: June 25, 2016 »
I know we can use ResHack or whatever, but it's kinda inconvenient (and subsequent builds will break icon again). Could we get some instruction or compiler directive that would allow to set custom .ico file as resulting exe's icon?

Like most other interpreters, naalaa just glues it bytecode to the end of a precompiled executable file, which already has an icon set. But when i get the time, i shall try and figure out how to do what Resource Hacker does, so that you may set an icon easily (let's say that naalaa looks for an .ico file next to your program and uses it).

I know how it works and I was just suggesting that :). AFAIK there's info how to use WinAPI to change icon on MSDN. Will try to search for relevant page later on.
