Here's a game jam that seems kind of fun: https://itch.io/jam/lowrezjam-2024 . It starts tomorrow.
First time seeing this one... Gotta love lowres... Chances are that the characters used may have to be hand-crafted... unless you "know" someone... lol One big plus would be not having to have '"pixel perfect" collision...

I'm thinking about making something with the wolf3d library, maybe a random dungeon thing with gameboy "colors".
Interesting... That will be two Game Jams back to back... as Darth would say, "Impressive. Most impressive. Obi-wan has taught you well."

My vacation ended yesterday. When I got home after work today I changed my mind. No jam for me, gotta relax.

There are lots of things to do when it comes to 3d graphics in n7 (gouraud shading, support for light sources, speed optimizations and so on). But I'm going to take a break from that now and do 2D stuff, maybe tutorials. And it would be fun to set up a page outside of the forum where people can download games and demos that we've made without having to join the forum.
When you gotta rest you gotta rest... 2D stuff, tutorials, web page... sounds pretty good to me... there may be little I can do, but if you need a hand, just ask...

Not only fun. Also encouraging. For example, a non-user said: ( https://murcas.itch.io/neon-breath )

'Wow, that looks great!  Reminds me of LucasArts "Dark Forces" with some Wolf 3d mixed in.  I especially like the 2d overlay map with the hologram effect.  That's impressive!  What type of BASIC did you use?  Is n7 a dialect of BASIC?  Nice'

Also, it is a good publicity. Many non-users will finally become users of NaaLaa.

( Two developers do the similar things.
