From another thread (Neon Breath):

Dear lord! They really don't like me on this forum:
https://gb32.proboards.com/thread/881/ga...highlights
"This morning I noticed a 4th entry into the Game Jam for Basic. I know the reason for the entry was to give GB32 more exposure and it may still happen but the newest entry should clearly be disqualified. The person entering the game supposedly wrote his own gaming oriented language which although may certainly be impressive, doesn't make it BASIC just because he claims it is. I also don't see how he followed the theme 120 Seconds at all. Sorry for my rant but I don't like people who lie or cheat. Just play nice!"

The GFA guys don't like me. The thread, where they hated on me, has been removed from their forum, I wonder why ... They were pretty rude in some youtube clip too, if I remember correctly.

Then your memory is not too good. One of them praised you under a video made by you:

Ah yes, Xavier seems to be a nice guy and a skilled programmer

Marcus,
Only you and me in this discussion thread. Other people selected not to discuss my first post after reading my first post. Very, very disappointed. Are you disappointed? I really want to know what you think. In fact, you need enthusiastic Naalaa users for helping you sincerely.
The only way to get many users is lots of hard work. I already work hard, as I have a real job, a wife and three kids. If I'm lucky I can spend between one and two hours on naalaa in a week. I prefer to spend that close to non-existing time on working on the language itself or using it to create games. This may be hard to understand, but I really don't care how many users naalaa has, I develop the language mainly my for my own sake.
I'm sorry if this is disappointing to hear.
I am one of those "other people" who 'selected' not to discuss your post. First: The discussion was addressed to Marcus. Second GFA is a Windows application and I do not run Windows. Therefore, from my point of view, I 'selected' not to comment as the subject did not apply to myself.
As the communication was addressed to Marcus, without feedback or permission from either yourself or Marcus, I considered it to be 'rude' to make comments. Even though this is a public Forum, I considered the conversation, as personal. That being said, I did read all the comments and visited the links provided, but only out of a sense of curiosity.
Because I do not reply to a subject, personal or not, do not confuse my silence with lack of care or interest.
I need more coffee...

I am not disappointed.
Actually, members of this forum are so enthusiastic. Perhaps we might try to encourage them more for making more suggestions and listen to their opinions.
Do you agree with me?

NaaLaa needs more constructive ideas from loyal users....
Do you have any constructive suggestion now?

Hmmm... Constructive you say? It is my opinion that programming type forums should have a dedicated area within the forum to teach, newcomers to the language, how to use each command by providing examples. For instance: On the QB64 website (qb64phoenix.com) within the learning resources and archives forum, is Terry Richies introduction to game programming. The beginner downloads all the assets needed and follows the course of examples. I know it is QB64 based, but a similar idea could be created for any language... food for thought...
I 'think' coffee will be a great help... Who am I kidding? Of course coffee can help... lol
