NaaLaa VS RCBasic
#10
I am not familiar with how Naalaa functions internally, but as much as you would like Naalaa to include DLL's, I seriously doubt that Naalaa can handle them. Naalaa, like RCBasic, are designed for coding 2D games etc. Sure, there have been some level of 3D added to them, but at a cost to performance. "But Microsoft SmallBasic can do 3D"... true. But that is due to the fact that smallbasic has in in-build 3D engine. Naalaa does not. Will it have one? Hard to say. Probably not any time soon.

MS smallbasic uses DLL's because it was designed to rely on DLL's... With all due respect for Marcus, the last time I looked, Marcus is 'not' a Microsoft Engineer... (sorry Marcus. No offence intended)

Do not misunderstand me, I am all for promoting and improving Naalaa, but we must be realistic. Naalaa, like any programming language, has its limitations. Perhaps one day, that will change...
Logic is the beginning of wisdom.
