Fully understand Marcus......I too found it hard to make enough time for the jam, and I'm retired from work ....

What a wonderful entry by Micha using N7. I was very impressed with how smoothly he has managed to get the game to run. Well worth checking out Smile

To me, participating in this game jam is really about gratitude. It's my way of saying thank you to the Naalaa Community, and especially to the creator of Naalaa.

I remember back in November 2023, right when the Naalaa website came back online after crashing. I tried to learn Naalaa by recreating a very simple 1945-style shooter game. To my amazement, the creator himself (Marcus) responded to my questions!

So, this game jam isn't really about winning for me. It's about saying thanks to the community and showing the world that Naalaa is a powerful flavor of BASIC that's great for making and enjoying games.

If you grew up with BASIC back in the day, Naalaa might bring back those good old memories. You know, the joy of staring at a green monochrome screen, typing code from magazines and books, and trying to make text-based games. I remember how frustrating it was when we found bugs, but also how eager we were to fix them no matter what... lol.

Really, Naalaa is free. Free to use, free to explore, and you even get free advice and solutions from the creator... lol. So here I am. This game jam is my way of saying thanks and giving back for all the precious BASIC knowledge inside Naalaa. I dedicate this to the person behind the birth of Naalaa  Cool

Ha....I don't have good game development technique of making excellent games for this kind of game jam. Sad  However, I think that I am still able to write excellent comments on entries of game jams. Big Grin Cool Wink Rolleyes

Wow! At last, there are 9 entries. Now everybody start writing comments and vote!
